Fuel Tank Vent Valve Tubing

Rembrant
Gentlemen,

I'm hunting for weekend parts today, and something I need is some rubber hose to connect to the vent valve on my fuel tank. The original hose measures about 0.145" ID, or around 3.5mm if it is metric. Does this need to be a fuel rated hose like fuel line? Or, can I use vacuum tubing? (Pretty sure I have some of the fabric covered 3.5mm vacuum tubing at home).

The original line has the text DF-VAPOR-3A3 POR-3A3 on it, and Google is telling me nothing.

I would use a fuel line rather than vacuum hose as I would expect the vapor to cause the vacuum hose to fail over time.

OK, I'll check around for small ID fuel line. Maybe a bike shop or small engine repair shop will have that sort of thing.

Sounds like 1/8" (0.125") or 5/32" (0.15625) vapor line.  Modern hoses are often rated for fuel/vapor/emissions.

Yep, that's the kind I was thinking of.
