What year did the OEM go to yellow? Was it '81 and up?

Jein.  As shown here (Interior/Doors/Door Locks) the turn signal lenses changed somewhere around 9/80.

But, "around" is the operative word.  I don't think Ford threw anything away, so they surely didn't stop using the clear ones at midnight on a specific day.  Instead, they probably used them until the supply ran out, and that probably varied by plant.

Got it, thanks.  So likely anything '82 model year and above saw yellow, I'd infer.

Mine isn't true to stock in many ways, but I'm always curious on what it originally it looked like.
