Why would someone spend that much on a new truck and put it in storage?

It is a nice truck, but nothing special. So why the high price? A Lightning maybe, but....

If I bought that truck at $49,500 USD, at the current exchange rate it would cost me $70,000 CDN, and then I'd have to pay $10,500 tax on top of that. With the extra import fees and a plate, I'd be looking at $81,000 lol. It is way WAY out of my price range.

I really can't see anybody paying 50 grand for that thing, for any reason.
