I can't find E2TZ 19986-A nor YH-395 in the MPC.  Must have been replaced.  Anyway, I can neither confirm nor deny the application.

Not another one ...

82/84: F-U100-250 E100-350: Heater Blower Switch: A/C Dealer Installed WITH integrated "deluxe" controls = E2TZ-19986-A = Motorcraft #YH-395

Whew, I thought we had another bumper bracket fiasco going on.

Is this in your 1982 MPC?

Dunno if it is in my '82 MPC as I have to climb a ladder to get to the microfiche viewer and I'm still in my "lounging attire".  And drinking my coffee.  In fact, as we have a funeral to go to in OKC today I'm not likely to get out there to see.  But maybe tomorrow?

Do you have a printed copy of an earlier MPC?

Yes, I have several from 1964 up to 1986. Both car and truck up to 1972. They are bound up in huge heavy binders. The exact kind that were on the parts counter at the dealerships.

My '82 MPC on microfiche doesn't have E2TZ 19986-A.  Jumps from 19983 to 19988.

But my January of '90 OSI has it and says it was replaced by E4TZ 19986-A.  And that shows in the '94 version of the 1980-89 MPC as:

83/  F-U150/250 - - A/C (dealer installed)  E4TZ 19986-A  YH-431
83/  E150/350 — A/C (dealer installed)

I need to get a OSI myself.

It gets confusing as the 82/84 part E2TZ-19986-A gets replaced by (RB) the E4TZ-19986-A, then only shows up in the final MPC as fitting 83/ .

So for example: some shmuck needs a blower switch for his dealer A/C on his 1982 Bronco, then the dealer parts man says he hasn't got one for that truck, when he has the E4TZ-19986-A part on the shelf, that would fit.

The final MPC is full of stuff like this.

Yes, it is full of stuff like that.  And unless you go to the OSI you don't really know if the E4TZ-A part will fit an earlier truck.

So I highly recommend you get an OSI.  My '96 OSI, Catalog # FPS 7632-5, says it covers everything from July, 1980 on so is a pretty good one.   But I don't see one for sale, although here are some others:

1986

1987

1988

1989

Thanks for the links.

I'm thinking that without an earlier MPC, you still wouldn't know the full application either.  The OSI states the E2TZ-A and the E4TZ-A interchanges, but doesn't say to what. If I'm thinking correct here.

Right, you need both.  In fact, you also need the cross-ref so you can translate ID to PN.
