It was easy to find via searching "wiper motor", but I think it deserves at least a link in documentation as it's a very good guide.

Somehow I forgot that I'd added Matt's writeup. See the Troubleshooting tab then the Repairing Park Position tab on the page at Documentation/Electrical/Windshield Wipers.
