Can't find any of these anymore. Wondering if anyone here has one left? My firewall isn't cracked yet and I'd like to keep it that way...ya know, preventative maintenance kinda stuff.

Welcome!
Looks like it's been a couple weeks so you may not have the 'new member' email you were sent but there is a request in there we ask all new members to follow regarding their first post. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll send another your way.

Once that is out of the way, we can look at what we can find for the reinforcement plate.

Excellent, thank you

I called Bob Allen (which you might have as well) as they showed one but he didn't show it on their end. I think I still have a used one out in my shop so I'll try to look tonight.

I think I gave away my last one.  Sorry.

And you might be wondering why we push for the introduction.  That's because we keep the guidelines there and we hold everyone to them so want to make sure you've had a chance to see them.

I gave away one of the small reinforcement plates to my friend Chris. I don't think he ever used it, but I'll ask next time I see him. It would cost me way more to ship it than it's worth.

You can make one easy enough...it was a simple little bracket. I installed one of the Terrapin Manufacturing kits on my '84, but later on converted a 1980 F150 cab to hydraulic clutch, and I made a small reinforcement plate out of 16ga sheet metal. Below is a picture of it installed...nothing pretty, but it fit perfectly.

Otherwise, you can buy the big reinforcement kit from JBG, and simply cut the top of it off, thus making a small reinforcement kit, and saving yourself the trouble of pulling the steering column to install it.

Although, removing the steering column is actually pretty easy, depending on how easily (rust?) your lower column comes apart. Once you've done it a couple times you can rip it in and out of there pretty quickly.
