Seat question

This post was updated on .
Hello, first time poster, thanks for reading if you are here, this forum has been very helpful thus far.

I bought an 84 bronco, 351w.  The previous owner used a number of different non oem parts in various places.  I don't believe the seats are original to the truck but was hoping someone here could identify what year they are off of or what they are from.  I am considering reworking these seats or putting something else in, if i rework knowing what i have would be helpful for buying.

The seats in the bronco only have one arm rest (I don't believe this was the case in 84) and  they also have a pattern I haven't seen anywhere else.  I'm not sure if they were recovered at some point with aftermarket fabric or it's just a non common package.  Im also not sure if they just threw an armrest away?
They dont really look like bullnose seats to me? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Kyle

Like I said, you need to read the FAQ's on how to include pics in a post.  But for a quick way, I just right-clicked your links, clicked the Insert Image button above, and posted your link into the Or Copy An Image From The Internet field, making sure to overwrite the http:// that's already.  And since your pics are bigger than 1MB you'll have to select "Big" in the resizing field.

Those seats do look like Bronco seats but, as you pointed out, with only one arm rest they are probably of a later vintage.  Maybe someone else knows?

Yes, and no.  You got them in, but this antiquated forum software doesn't rotate them for you.  You have to do that yourself.

I find that if I hold the phone in "landscape" it takes the picture correctly for uploads here.

For a 77 and older Bronco you can find foam and seat covers at a very affordable price (the irony since these Broncos cost a pretty penny!)

For a 78-86 Bronco you can get low-back Vinyl seat covers from many places like Dennis carpenter (no foam however), but I've heard the foam from a similar vintage mustang is pretty close.

For a 80-86 Bronco with high back, as far as I know there is no available source for foam but a few sources for seat covers but all very expensive.

87-96 has seat covers available from a few sources but they are all very expensive, at that cost I would pick my own vinyl or cloth and have a shop reupholster them.

I wonder if those seats are from a conversion, like Centurion.

Centurion usually swivel.
I'm not sure about that Greek key design, but they look like a velour option of mid 90's Bronco seats.

I'll go have a look at the details in daylight.

Jim, its amazing you have a name for everything. I looked up a greek key design and it looks exactly like that.

When I was a little kid I used to get ostracized from the house, so I would go up into the library above the  porte-cachere and read the thesaurus, or the dictionary or the encyclopedia...

Visually I have a thing for how pieces fit together or seeing patterns in what appears to be random..
So I know a lot of different designs.
I came up with a font for Gary's dad's air cleaner. 'Neue Helvetica demi bold extended'......

They wanted to send me to architecture school so I studied all the classic Greek & Roman building styles...
