Old AM radio

Not sure what year model this came from, it was here when I moved in. It is a Ford radio, and the pictures show the part number. Maybe someone here cares to identify it, or would need it for an older ford restoration.

C9Z decodes to 1969 Mustang. Doesn't mean it was ncessarily pulled from a mustang. Lots of part cross use.

That’s a good article. But the key here is that the number on the part is not the part number. Yes, with Ford’s infinite wisdom they put the engineering or ID # on the part to stay with it forever, but put the part number on the box - to be thrown away. And then the Master Parts Catalog has you look things up by the part number.

I have cross references, so can look some things up by one # and find the other. But they work in fairly limited date ranges, like 1980 - 86, so can’t always determine what the part is by the number. Glad you guys got that one figured out.
