Hey guys just joined the forum as a member. Lots of great information here. I’ve grown up around these trucks and have always loved them. Tried other stuff through the years including a brand new super duty in 2015. Long story short I decided that I would much rather rebuild bullnoses every 5-10 years or so than spend my money on the new garbage they’re putting out. Also im self employed so my bulls get used and worked everyday towing and hauling. Below is my 85 f350. It has a 460 I rebuilt with 9.8-1 compression, edelbrock heads and custom ground cam from cam research. Pulls insane like a newer diesel. Returns up to 14mpg empty and about 8-9 towing. I’m running a zf5 transmission as I run all over towing and hauling and needed overdrive. Which it’s awesome because i rarely come out of overdrive when towing on the highway. These trucks are so tough and reliable. I’ve owned this one since I bought it after i graduated high school in 2007 from my uncle who broke down in Washington state in his bronco and bought this to tow it home which at the time had a slide in camper in the bed and he drove it back to Pennsylvania with the camper in the bed and bronco behind him on a tow bar.

Nice truck!  And if you can get 14 MPG you are doing REALLY well.  My 85 F250 can get to 13 with its EFI'd 460 and a ZF5, but not 14.
