New horn pad with speed control. Will this work for a 1986 F150 XLT Lariat?

Sparky
I found this part supposedly available. Gary's documentation shows that it is the part # for "85/ F-U150/350 - - w/ speed control". It is the only new horn pad with speed control that I have found anywhere. I thought they were obsolete. The website says it will not fit my truck but I'm wondering if this is just an issue with the color/finishes. Does it look like it will work? No picture available.

Yes, it will fit.  It is black with the burled wood trim on it.

It is kind of expensive, but should be really nice being NOS.  They faded to a purple with the UV from the sun, so this one shouldn't be faded.

David/1986 has found several horn pads over time and posted them here.  You can search for the posts, but here's a link to the results for "horn pad".

Thanks Gary. Everything I see on ebay is at least that much for a used one so it seems like a pretty good deal to me. I think I will go for it.

Well, too good to be true. I ordered it from a dealer but after the deal went through they canceled it, didn't say why although I suspected that it's not available. Tried again with another dealer but also canceled the next day. No NOS horn pads with speed controls anywhere out there that I could find.
