Door Glass Lift Channel Install

I ordered a new driver's side window along with the lift channel and channel rubber, respectively #7 and #8 as listed in the LMC diagram below.

Anyone have advice on the best way to properly fit the lift channel and channel seal to the glass? Also, note that the channel rubber has two separate sides, not real sure which side is the glass side.
