Do you understand how to reclock it if need be?
I do believe that this alternator is in the proper orientation for pickups already (but I'm not looking at your truck)

I think there are instructions in the 3G update tutorial (much the same)
But you should determine that before you go to swap the pulley, because you need to do that anyway.

Remove the pulley.
Remove the three bolts that hold it back to front.
Tap lightly on the shaft *just* until the cases separate enough that you can rotate the rear housing 120°.
Be very careful that you don't dislodge the brushes from the commutator!!!!
Reinstall the bolts.
Install the V-belt pulley you need.
Done.

Oh! I didn’t know that. Thanks for the heads up. I will make sure and follow your instructions and recommendations on the re-clocking.

See how your power wires are pointing directly up (12:00) in relation to the adjuster ear of your 2G?

See how the one pictured on Amazon is pointing at 04:00?

On my truck the adjuster ear is pointing down and i probably want my alternator clocked like yours is, so the regulator plug is not facing the engine block.

Installed the DB alternator a little a week ago. No issues whatsoever, the truck is running fine. And it has maintained an12.3-12.6 V which seems low to me when compared to my 95 f150’s 13-14 V

That does seem low.
My 3G shows 14.3-14.5 at the battery once it settles down.

I have a later cluster with integral volt meter and that shows a pinch over 12.
I also have a white LRC regulator which delays response for a couple of seconds and then ramps the output.

I agree - 12.3 to 12.6V while running is low.  Something is wrong.

First thing I would do is put your hand around the harness on the right fender, both in front and behind where the alternator harness with the engine running, if it feels hot, then you have a high resistance connection and it needs to be found and repaired.
