It's cool to see someone using panel bond for a change.

You don't have to flange, joggle or knock the seam down to get it to look straight?

That's a lot of work for a bed, but it's looking great Joe!

Appreciate the update!
Joe, truck looks great man! Love the Grabber Green too!!!

I'm curious about how your replacement panels are attached??? I did the wheel arches on my truck via spot welding, a long tedious process. Looking at pictures, I assumed you flanged it, but Jim says in the quote above, no flange. Can you explain? Thanks!

Oh, so the truck body was stepped down to accept the replacement panels???

Did you find the body crease was ok in the Tabco wheel arch?
Because the ones for my '87 definitely were not.

so I picked up some used Lightning rims.  Thinking of sanding them down and painted them this gun metal grey and painted the grill to match.

Looking good!  How are you going to finish the inside of the bed?

Those wheels should look good, but sanding them is going to be a pain.  You don't have someone nearby that could media blast them?

going to try to finish the inside bed this week.  guy who owned the rims painted them in that peal paint.  so I just have to power wash the black paint off.

Hopefully that plastidip saved them from damage instead of covering it up.

Re: 1985 F150

Hello.  Well it’s a no on the lightning rims.  I was not happy how they looked and they stuck out to far on the front fenders.  So I am staying with the FR500 for now.   Grill and tail lights got painted.
