Hello, I have a 1981 F-250 that I have had for a few years. My goal is to eventually do a complete restoration my experience is probably going to be an obstacle, however I really love this truck. There is rust but was running pretty good before I took it on longer road trip for work due to the fact that my other truck was down. From what I could tell one of the previous owners had filled a hole in the timing cover with epoxy and it finally blew out on my way home. Luckily I was only a few blocks from home when it happened. The shop I usually go to told me they couldn’t find the part, so I did some searching and found a after market cover and decided to do the install myself. I have found it very hard to find information though. I swear even the Chiltons manual is a lot thinner than they used to be. Definitely a source of frustration but I really can’t bring myself to throw in the towel. And I feel like I definitely came to the right place. Looking forward to getting started!

Welcome! Glad you joined. :nabble_anim_handshake:

Where's home? I ask because we have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and we can add you with a city/state or zip. Who knows, you might be close to one of us.

Chilton's? Never! Use the factory shop manual, which we have most of on here.
