Fuel Sender Specs?

Recommended Posts

Sorry a little late but from the hard line to the pump on the motor I used 5/16" and most likely used the same for the tanks to hard lines and at the tank switch valve.

Before I had fuel in the tanks I tried 3/8" hose into a gas can on the inner fender just to move the truck and it would not pick up fuel from the can even with 2 hose clamps.

Once I used 5/16" hose it started pulling fuel from the can.

I dont remember what size I used for the evap system, maybe 1/4" or smaller?

Im interested in the sock inlet size, for use with a holley Hydramat. Thank you for the response though.

I can get that tomorrow when I get home from work as I still have my old senders.

Going to bed as I have to get up at midnight for work.

Thank you.

Sorry I forgot about this I will try and got out to my garage to measure ASAP

OK I got a measurement of 5/16" on the old rear sender I had under the bench.

I would bet your money the front sender under the bench is the same 5/16"

I also had to use 5/16" hose when I replaced all the rubber fuel hose on my truck.

To measure I used an open end wrench. 3/8" flopped around on the tube, 5/16" did not flop around.

Again sorry been bed ridden last few days after surgery.

No worries, not in any hurry. I have the rear plastic tank coming from Jeff's bronco grave yard, waiting impatiently on the new sender, and i have a deal with another shop local to be that donating a hydramat to the project. The tentative date for the new tank, lines and sender is mid May.

Just get well soon.
