Picked up this 83 F150 for my son's first truck. We have another year to get it ready. Started with 1.5 inch leveling springs/shocks and black steelies. Replaced front axle joints and bushings. A little sluggish and rear main looked to be leaking so we went ahead and pulled the motor for rebuild/upgrade!

Welcome! Glad you joined. :nabble_anim_handshake:

And, by the way, we are family-oriented so you might think about having your son join as well.

Where's home? I ask because we have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and we can add you with a city/state or zip.

And to post pics you need to use the "Insert Image" button. Your pics are larger than the 1 meg limit, so I clicked the Big button to allow resizing.

I do not

You can email him through the forum. Click on his pin on the map, and then click the url with his email and follow the instructions on the page that opens. But note that our email system is having problems and it may look like your email didn't go, although it usually does. So I copy myself so I know when it does.

Nice truck!

That's a heavy duty looking steel bracket/mount on the front of the engine. Is that a homemade piece or something factory that I've never seen before?

Was there a spotlight on the cowl panel on the driver's side?

I think the bracket is factory. The non-working factory AC was mounted to it when we got it. There was a spotlight on the cowl when we got it that also didn't work. Pretty solid truck, I'm just happy my 14 year old is so interested in learning how to work on it!
