Good to know, John. Thanks.

I whipped this up one afternoon with some plywood. I probably should have made it slightly deeper to fit my ammo cans better. The 50 cal can was too big. The 762 can had too much room to slide around.

It’s mounted through the cab bolts and the bolt still sticks through the nut a few threads so I feel comfortable the cab won’t fly off with a sudden stop!

Looks good! Did you save the dimensions?

I didn't use the cab bolts as I wanted to be able to pull mine out w/o messing with the cab bolts. So I put nutserts into the step at the back of the cab and screw the organizer down to that. And that plan worked well as I had it in and out like a yoyo while I was installing the inverter and wiring. But the cab bolt would work nicely if you were going in with it one time. :nabble_smiley_wink:

HBF is still in military storage so I can’t get the measurements but can post them, eventually. I did follow some of the general numbers found in the threads on this site (I used some of the ones you posted Gary) and the link above.

I think I was using 1/2 plywood.

Thanks. I think the "general numbers" thing is sufficient. :nabble_smiley_good:

crazy me. jeff in your initial picture showing the guy reaching for his fishing rod, am i the only one who noticed that the seat latch and transfer bar assembly is missing from the seat itself? my wife often says '' only you would have noticed that''

I used Velcro to hold it to the back wall other wise it would move with every start & stop.

IIRC that was how it was fasten in my parts truck and it rolled over and was still in place.

Glad this thread popped up again… here are some of the measurements. If I build it again, I’d make it a bit deeper so that my 50 caliber ammo can fits in it. The ammo can that is in the photo is a 762 ammo can.

I built it so that the seat could be slid all the way back. I suspect there’s enough room to make it deep enough for the 50 cal can for folks with long legs and need the max movement of the seat backwards! With my version, the seat comes to about 1/2 inch of the leading edge.

I pulled out the “762 securing divider” and the fire extinguisher to show the depth issue for the 50 cal ammo can.
