Jonathan
I also removed the frame crossmember that I bent up. I was going to give it to a neighbor to take someplace to get straightened but he backed down. So I need to find someone to fix it for me and reinforce so it can be a lift point. The bolts I cleaned in the sonic cleaner and now it is in the vibrating tumbler being polished. http://forum.garysgaragemahal.com/file/n97103/PXL_20210516_011027189.jpg http://forum.garysgaragemahal.com/file/n97103/PXL_20210516_231214837.jpg My neighbor went to his girlfriends families shop. They told him they can straighten it out by using the tire machine. I am guessing the bead breaker function of the machine? What are your thoughts on using a tire machine to fix it? Or should I find a shop with a press?

Or should I find a shop with a press? I would personally be hesitant to use the tire machine, but I've never used one. So maybe they know what they are doing and can do it. I'd let them try. Jonathan
Latest dirty parts are tumbled and ready to be cleaned and painted. As typical for part orders with this truck the "new" Fumoto Oil Drain valve I ordered from Amazon was used and damaged with oil on it. I ordered the version with no drain nipple but I got one with the nipple and used. I guess the truck is high enough where the nipple won't matter but they don't have anymore available. So I ordered again but the nipple version. I know some people will have negative things to say about this high quality part but I use Fumoto Oil Drain Valves on all my vehicles with no issues. I enjoy the convenience and have had no leaks or damage during its use for many years. https://amzn.to/3f1SOBc

Jonathan
The fuel line from inline tube was not correct and too short. Why is it so hard to get the correct line? Was there a production change where they made the line shorter after 1981? The bends work just it ends far short from where the old line was. Any harm in just extending the rubber fuel line longer then the factory one was? I can let it rest in the lip of the tank seam. I managed to not break any clips holding the fuel line. But I had to remove one bolt to get the fuel line out in the engine bay. I only needed to add one clip because it stopped before the rest of the factory clips were. Good thing I ordered some fuel line clips from LMC. Ended up I needed one. Inline Tube shipped another stainless steel fuel line to me yesterday. This will be my third fuel line. First from LMC was way wrong, first from Inline Tube was half wrong. Will it be correct this time? There is probably a .001% chance it will be correct but lets see if third time is the charm. This shipment includes the following items: Item # Description Qty MISCLINE Rework Line

Man, it must be frustrating to keep getting the wrong parts! 😠I hope everything works out this time around, Jonathan.
