Not that bad. I've seen worse. Like being able to see the pavement below.

What are you going to do to seal it? Sound deaden it?

Looking for advice! Probably don't have the time or resources to raptor-line it or anything, but I've heard the sound deadening stuff you can buy at home depot works pretty well?

If you mean Peel & Seal, it does work pretty well. But some people have reported a strong petroleum smell in the vehicle after using it. I've used it and didn't have a smell. However, when I did Big Blue I used Noico products from Amazon. Seem to have worked well.

I used roll on bed liner I got at Auto Zone (duplicolor) 2 coats top & bottom of my cab.

It did noting for sound, little rocks bouncing off the bottom sounded like gum fire!

I did it more for protection than anything else.

What helped on sound was carpet, once down it was a whole new truck!

And yes I put it down over the roll on bed liner.

I also used the peel & seal but in the doors only as I did hear about the smell.

Being it gets really hot down here I did not want it smelling when hot.

I put 2 strips in each door, outside door skin.

I did this before it was on the road so dont know if it helped on sound but the doors sound more solid when closing.

I dont get any smell from them in the doors but maybe it would not inside the cab?

If I wanted it really quiet I would have bought a lux car LOL

Thanks fellas! I'll check out the Amazon stuff that Gary talked about. I'm gonna try to work on getting the back window to come down because it's like an oven in there right now. I've heard taking the bolts of that hold the glass on the slider is the first step?

Don't miss the section from the factory shop manual on that here: Documentation/Body/Bronco Rear Window.

As for the heat, you might also look at the Noico foam insulation. I used it on the inside of the roof and on the floor and back wall. Seems to have helped.

Since the window is up I would prop up the glass and pull the motor. Then you could lower the glass, open the window and install the new motor. If your able perhaps you could put the new motor in from the inside.

But its a bit of a pain to get that motor in.

Having said that I haven’t done one that way. I just replaced mine but I was able to use the motor to raise and lower it one last time. I supported the glass when the tailgate was open and the glass all the way out with a saw horse.

My Bronco is silver and black with the fiberglass top being black. I do believe it is the hottest vehicle I have ever owned!

First step is to check the fuse :nabble_smiley_evil:

All right I've been back to work on ol' Mossberg. I have it running and driving, but I have three big problems:

1. The throttle doesn't seem to go all the way back to idle. If push it back into place at the throttle body (by hand) it'll go back. I've cleaned the springs and the assembly at the top but maybe its because of the cable itself?

2. I have no hazards. Is there only one flasher for the 86 Bronco? I'm only finding one on the fuse panel (nothing behind it or anywhere else). Really don't want to replace the directional switch in the steering column...

3. I have no tail lights, brake lights, or reverse lights. I'll eventually figure this one out shooting wires I guess. I'm just complaining to complain...

Hope everyone is doing well!
