Haha! Not this time. I think I need to take it for a few local runs first to work out what else might be wrong. Need to look at the oil pressure for example..

But tomorrow family will load up and hit the pub for lunch, pics will follow!

And a pic of the engine!DADBFDCB-37DE-4CD1-A994-226F8D8905F3.jpeg.41055fc25b4a6b06083a38b4c1f683eb.jpeg

Looks good - even with the huge dizzy. :nabble_smiley_evil: No oil or coolant leaks?

Have a ploughman's for me. :nabble_smiley_wink:

I cooked a full English this morning :)

Then I got the timing light out and got the timing set nicely :)

Then I took her for a 10 mile drive running errands. I stopped at the car wash and cleaned a lot of the gunk off from underneath.

Windshield is leaking from top of the drivers side, The A pillar trim is missing so I know it is form there. I will try and silicon seal it I guess from the inside.

I got home and I could see there was a leak from the power steering hose, so I will fix that today.

Apart from those two things everything was great. she ran smooth, sounds amazing! Oil pressure leveled out nicely too, so I am not concerned about that. The radiator petcock value fix is holding - even though it is a temp solution.

Next up:

Replace power steering hose

Replace headlights

Stainless steel braided brake lines to be installed this week.

Install KC daylighters.

replace passenger side marker light (driver side is done already).

KYB gas-a-just shock are arriving this week - all 6 of them!

Busy, busy, busy!

Again, thanks for all the help and support!

Full English! I like all of it but the tomato. :nabble_smiley_good:

On the windshield leak, don't fix it from the inside. Instead, use Permatex Windshield & Glass Seal from the outside. It is flowable RTV and runs into the holes and set up.

Anyway, PROGRESS!

Cheers Gary, I will do that today.

Fixed the power steering hose and put the KC’s on. Need to wire them up.

Haha! The wife is coming around to them.

Another 10 miles of driving this morning.

Off to get that windshield sealant!

🙂🙂

Not made much progress

Completed this week:

Sprayed all front cab trim except the door panels in a darker blue.

Installed last part of weather stripping on passenger side.

Installed new headlights

Installed passenger side marker light - so all lenses and lights are new now.

Installed vacuum modulator for transmission

Installed center console

Had interior carpet and seats shampooed (I think the smoke smell is gone now)

Changed transmission fluid.

Replaced battery terminal connectors

Part ordered due to arrive this week:

Stainless steel braided brake lines ( I thought I had some, but no.)

KYB gas-a-just shocks front 4 are in hand, rear 2 should arrive tomorrow.

locks for center console and glove box keyed the same (Need roof off security for the wife)

Driver side power lock actuator.

Driver side power lock switch bezel.

Headliner material (Navy vinyl diamond pattern).

New speakers (4 Infinity Reference 6.5" up front and 6x9 in the rear as that is how the side panels have been butchered)

Dynamat for the doors

Parts to be ordered:

Rear bumper (local wreckers)

Tire swing mount (local wreckers. I have a brown one, they have a black one)

Hit list of things that need to be addressed:

Replace vacuum lines

Drill out tire swing arm bolts. 2 are in there bad.

Replace alternator cable

Intermittent Tachometer

No interior courtesy lights work - all new bulbs.

Power mirrors work left to right but not up and down

Driver seat bottom foam is shot..

Windshield leak (I got that product Gary recommended and windshield trim removal tools)

Wheels... I don't like these wheels or tires

A lot done, and a lot to do. Hope you like onion rings. :nabble_smiley_good:

Seriously though, you have done a lot and you have a lot "in progress". Well done!

I like lists! I need to shuffle the above lists a bit and print it out :)

Let's see what I can knock off by the weekend. It is going to be 86F and sunny, would be great to get the top off :)

Suspension is supposed to be done tomorrow night, my friend is going to help. Let's see how rusted it all is. I have sprayed some penetrating stuff in there.

I think I will pull some more trim out tomorrow too- the upper stuff and the headliner so I am prepped for that. May need one more can of paint..

The steering wheel is wonky, so I need to rotate it about 8 degrees clockwise.

With all the trim out I can start hunting down the electrical issues. With the leak on the top left of the windshield, i think I need to start in the foot well there and hunt around with my multimeter...

Should be able to able to get the KC's wired up this week, although they are not essential right now..

Lots and lots to do! I love this stuff :)

We are getting there.

I have not even mentioned the rear diff has some drip marks under it... Those are the bad parts of the onion.

Oh, 118 miles and 16G of fuel! Lots of idling so I am hoping my 7MPG heads towards to 9MPG.. I think she is running rich..
