Bullnose Gator
My tank selector issue: the rear tank doesn't register anything, but I've hooked both pumps/sending units up to the front tank and they both register on the fuel gauge. The latest development is that when I flip the switch to the rear tank, the gauge still reads the front tank. Should I just replace the selector valve, or troubleshoot further? Also, I'm new to parts hunting, but this is the exact part I need (as verified by yall above and by visual inspection) and it is out of stock/discontinued everywhere online. What's next, start calling all the ford dealers until I find one that has it? This one looks identical to the one on my truck, but it says it's not for the 1986 model. Any chance it could work? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GVGLM63/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza

I looked at those edited buying mine but if I remember correct people were having issues with the aftermarket ones so didn’t want to waste time on it. Bullnose Gator
Thanks. How did you find it at a Ford dealer? Should I just start calling around until I find one or was it a web search?

Contact a local ford dealer and talk to parts department, they can do a nation search and tell you who has it. I have found them in Houston and a couple dealers in Tenn. That’s the easiest way to track. Lonni Garrison
