ArdWrknTrk
The best buzzer trucks are the 80-82 trucks. The headlight on buzzer is a separate buzzer, so on trucks equipped with that option, you can actually hear two buzzers. And if one is out of tune, oh man does it get annoying quick. There are still two buzzers in the later 1983 - 1986 trucks; they are just combined into one unit. If I have the key in the ignition (headlights off) and open the door, I hear a buzzer. If I leave the door open and turn the key forward to the RUN position - and the seatbelt is unbuckled - I also hear a *second* buzzer go off and the FASTEN BELTS light on the dash turns on. But like Mark said - it is MANLY. I reminds me of one of those disturbing B-movie horror movies or a low budget 1970s porn flick. I'd comment on Rick's fascination with shag carpet, but beyond that I'm keeping my mouth shut.
BullnoseLuvr
Did not know that, I figured the same buzz went off regardless, and maybe just increased in volume. Good to know! Yup. You can see the two annoying annunciators. There's a timer in the buzzer unit that lights the "Fasten Seat Belts" light on run and sounds the seat belt buzzer also if the belt isn't buckled. I guess that's why there are two buzzers? Easier to execute? Mark

myrl883
Thanks, got mine coming next weekend! It really is all the little things that add up to something better. Mine has saved my butt a time or two - I don't mind annoying things if they serve a true purpose. Now somebody figure out my '86 - the headlight on buzzer and key in buzzer only work with the RH door. A bad switch is the obvious assumption, but the dome lights work every time...
