ArdWrknTrk
While in the parts store the other day I happened to look at Permatex orange threadlocker. Now, I'm in the small city where Henkel North America is headquartered, and I've always used Loctite products. But this was interesting! They claim 3x the breakaway of their blue formula, but only hand tools needed, unlike the red that you need to torch to 500F. https://www.permatex.com/products/thread-compounds/threadlockers/permatex-high-strength-removable-orange-threadlocker/

ArdWrknTrk
With rust, who needs thread locker?>..lol. Thanks for the heads up Jim. I'll check it out as well. Thread locker by its nature displaces all gap in the joint. If oxygen and electrolyte can't get in rust can never start.
