Needed repair piling up.

Recommended Posts

Two thumbs up to Rock Auto!

My ring gear and trans mount are here!

Also, surprisingly, Amazon delivered my LED strips.

So I may be doing that in the dawn hours tomorrow.

The parts pile is reaching critical mass and I need to figure out how I'm going to pull this engine.

Also, given that I don't have any alternative transpo for parts running, I need to sort that.

Fortunately, I do have a couple of stores that will deliver to the barn, because I know them.

That doesn't help if I need to wade through the shelves.

You are gonna be BUSY! Hope it goes well.

Aaaand, I got broadsided after dinner. :nabble_smiley_hurt:

While I need the money and want the work, one of my realtors called to say she has another house leased right after the 4th holiday weekend....

So NOW I have to whip it into shape.

On top of my dock building, shower replacement and siding jobs.

That I can barely get to or get material for, because my truck needs work.

Maybe I should buy a beater and not bother to register it???

I still don't know where the time would from.

Bummer!

So, what are the absolutely essential things to do? The alternator? (Boy, I wish we had an underline button.)

I need to change the ring gear and starter!

And while I'm in there...

I figure a minimum 5 days given my facilities and motivation.

There's an AWFUL lot of other things that would be best served while it is apart.

And that's trusting I don't need to weld in new cab mounts or something like that.

I threw a $50 bid on a Melling oil pump, and the clutch still isn't here.

The alternator is fine, (14.4v) but the offer was good and it will be nice to have a fallback.

Or install new, and keep this one as a spare.

Melling HVD on its way from eBay.

The pile is getting out of hand.

I think I'm going to try and borrow something.

If I average 150+ miles a day, rental is onerous.

Yay! My clutch arrived.

I have to work tomorrow, tie up those loose ends and get paid.

I think I can borrow my friends Audi, because she has a company car. :nabble_smiley_good:

Need to pull my job boxes and hose the muck out of my bed.

Load a bunch of parts, welding tanks, tools, lubricants, chemicals, stands, jacks, etc...

So, I should be deep into it this weekend.

If I go incognito, you know I'm busy.
