New from Arkansas

Recommended Posts

My first truck was a 1984 F-250 with a 5.8L 4 barrel auto reg cab 2wd. Loved that truck my grandpa bought it used from his friend who owned a junkyard. It started lift out as a Uhaul truck that was laid on it side and slide down the freeway 250ft. Grandpa used it for his roofing company the truck had a rough life and was in rough shape. So I needed to upgrade sold it and bought a F-150 bricknose with a 4.9L auto reg cab swb 4wd. Fast forward to almost 13 years ago when I meet my future father inlaws 1984 F-250 reg cab 6.9L IDI 4sp flatbed 4wd. I've told him for years if he sells it I want first chance at it. Wife took a travel tech job we are currently in NJ while talking to him a few weeks ago he said do you still want the tan ford. So I own another bullnose again. It will sadly need a cab swap I believe. A few years ago a storm pull a tree limb down which fall thru the front windshield and busted the dash all to crap. He put a new windshield in it and keep using it. It also needs a new brake booster so planning to do the hydroboost upgrade. Sadly I don't have any pictures of it to share right now.

Conway,AR

Well, you are on the map. :nabble_smiley_wink:

And, I know Conway. Have stopped there many times while crossing AR on I-40. Know that Exit 125 takes me to Starbucks. And we used to take 65 to go to Searcy where our son went to college.

What's your name? We like to call each other by our real names, so if you'll play along just put it in your signature.

Name is Jason. I use to work in Searcy,AR when the oil field was going big time in Arkansas. Conway has done a lot of growing since I was a kid.

Welcome to the Forum Jason! :nabble_waving_orig:

Look forward to seeing more of you and your father-in-law's old truck.

As you can tell from my username, I like a working truck more than a trailer queen.

Kinda the same, I'd rather a girl I can go fishing, or ride motorcycles with than one who's worried about breaking a nail.
