WHYDTYTT: What Have You Done To Your Truck Today?

Recommended Posts

Sharpie looks good. It may rub off somewhat easily. But it's cheap enough to do again when it needs it.

My concern as well... but so is the white printing on a lot of black automotive controls (in later vehicles). We shall see how well it holds up; since they're not frequent contact areas my hopes are high.

May consider this if sharpie doesn't work.

I used Molotow chrome on mine. Not sure you can really see the difference unless you're close. What really matters is that it's brighter than the wood or weave. The Ranger letters is where it really shows the difference in chrome and sharpie. I have Molotow ink/paint on hand from model car building and my sharpie was dried out.

Truly feel your frustration….. wishing you the best to get it sorted.

Much appreciated.

Gary, I know you have an E4OD behind an M...what did you do for a standalone controller and TPS?

I haven’t run it yet, but I’m going with EEC-V EFI, which also controls the tranny.

Gotcha. I am going carbureted but I see Holley makes a TPS kit for them. I was thinking about trying to find an IDI deisel ECU but they are about as much as buying a Baumann controller.

I'm at my wits end with this EFI on the 6 cylinder.

I did some RV moving yesterday to better situate my mother in law. I have really come to appreciate what a front hitch can do. Even with the tight constraints of the buildings and fence I was able to spot the 28’ streamline in its semi-permanent place with ease. It was within 1 inch of the desired distance from the kitchen and within 1/4 inch of being parallel to the building on the first shot! I don’t know how long that would have taken with the rear hitch or if I could have ever gotten it that close driving blind and without the steering wheels being under the hitch…

Angelo - I can't imagine how frustrated you are! Good luck!

Jonathan - Yep, I put my trailer between the supports for the carport the other day and there's only ~3" either side. But with the front-mounted hitch it was possible. Wouldn't even try it on the rear.

"And here we see the Arizona burro in it's natural environment, doing what it does best."

Good job Jonathan!

That is incredibly tight.

I don't think even a front hitch would have helped me.
