I guess I know what I'll be doing to my truck today! 😖 If I can find a timing chain gasket set locally, on Sunday morning..... And, I'm doing laundry on my to work... It never ends. ****At least the scroll in the timing case caught it, and directed the leak outwards. Well, as I suspected, NO ONE stocks a timing case gasket set for an engine that hasn't been seen in 23 years. So, I ordered it from the nice girl at my local NAPA. To be delivered tomorrow afternoon (after their truck arrives from the regional hub) While I'm at it I'm replacing the radiator cap and both hoses. I hope I have 2" for the bypass. So, I ordered it from the nice girl at my local NAPA. To be delivered tomorrow afternoon (after their truck arrives from the regional hub) While I'm at it I'm replacing the radiator cap and both hoses. I hope I have 2" for the bypass. Bummer! I don't have the leisure of a choice of vehicles to drive. The parts will come... I'm going to wait for everything to cool down. When I have the front dress off I'm going to clean everything up with brakleen, and shoot some new Ford gray engine enamel. No, never got the heads off (though I'll have to if it's a head gasket) Yep, OMC. Reason numero uno why I want to get my F350 driving as soon as I can. My Ranger is getting up there in mileage and although I've done everything I can to maintain her, I would feel better if I had a second vehicle, especially since my drive to work is almost 30 minutes one way.
