Elon Musk is the reason I will not own a Tesla.

As for Boeing, their outsourcing to Spirit concerned me from the start. The company I worked for actually tried to get involved with the outsourcing, and that was a concern because I knew full well how we cut spending and corners. Luckily we weren't involved.

NNS was owned by Tenneco from 1969-1996 when they spun us off into Newport News Shipbuilding. Northrop Grumman bought us in November 2001, they also purchased Ingalls Shipbuilding before buying Newport News. Both were merged into Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding in 2008. Effective April 1 2011 Northrop Grumman spun us off as Huntington-Ingalls Industries.

Collis P. Huntington's policy on his shipyard was "We Shall Build Good Ships Here; At A Profit If We Can, At A Loss If We Must, But Always Good Ships."

During the Tenneco and Northrop-Grumman years, the monument with this quote on it was moved to the Mariner's Museum. It was brought back and now sits on Washinton Ave in front of the Dorothy (NNS Hull #1).

Popped in to add to the electric vehicle debate!

I just bought a new 23 Lightning Lariat extended range. got it for $19.5k under MSRP including the 7500 fed rebate.

The primary use for this vehicle is a commuter. My wife was spending $250 a month in gas for her commute with her LR3!!

Additionally, she will use it to haul her 3 horse trailer around town to trailheads etc..

Finally, we will use it to pull our 2014 25ft Airstream, It has a GVWR of 7300lbs and puts ~850lbs on the tongue when fully loaded. Most of our camping is within 50 miles of our house here in Bend and mainly at RV parks..

I am excited too see how this all goes..
