‘82 Bronco restoration

I'd missed that it is a Free Wheeling truck. Well spotted! And, that's where the ECU was on both the 82's I've owned. In fact, since we put an '82 cab on Dad's truck and it has that opening that may be where the EEC-V ECU goes.
Excuse my ignorance, but what is a "free wheeling" truck?

Doing my '83, I removed all that trim and sold it. Do I still have some of the clips? or did I send it with the trim??????
If you have some of them let me know. I'm not done taking all the trim off so don't know how many I need.

The Free Wheelin' package was a 1980/81 package described on Page 10 here: Literature/1981 Literature/1981 Pickup Brochure. So, if yours is an '82 it should not be a Free Wheelin' truck as that supposedly didn't carry over to '82.

But, you might check out the options you have to ensure it isn't.

...if yours is an '82...
Given that the wheel arch photo seems to show an original set of FreeWheeling stripes, I'd guess it's not actually an '82.https://supermotors.net/getfile/72354/thumbnail/doorsticker.jpg
Here is the door sticker. It says manufactured 06/82

Looks like an ‘82 to me, and a late one at that.

I'll definitely look for you, no promises though :) I have a lot of pics of the body restoration if you are interested.

Hey, I also need some hardware for the windshield trim. I bought the clips that go on the truck but don't have but a few pieces that go in the chrome trim. Believe it or not the sides and half of the top was stuck on with urethane! And, are there any rubber pieces or setting blocks that are needed to put the windshield back in? It was busted and I removed it.

Thanks again for the help.

As far as I remember the clips for the trim you should be able to get I think thru LMC.

All but 2 or 4 are normal small clips, the 2 or 4 are long and think was on the bottom only.

The clips fit on the little studs around the frame, I don't remember any that stay on the trim.

As for the rubber blocks did you save the old ones? I believe they come with the butyl tape kit from what I have seen as I will need to set the glass back in after painting. THe blocks are used to keep the glass from slipping down because of the weight of the glass.

Do you know how thick the butyl tape should be? I think it comes in 3 different sizes.

If it is to thin the glass will sit in to far and the trim will not fit flat as it should. Same if to thick.

I don't know if this is the right size but you can see the blocks come with the kit.
