85lebaront2
Vivek. I believe the firewall opening on the Bullnose may be the same for AC and non-AC, you still need the ductwork on both sides.
viven44
Thats great Bill, if thats the case. I have all the ductwork and dash internals in perfect condition on my parts truck. Assume all of that will bolt up just right.
Gary Lewis
I think there is a big difference in firewalls between A/C and non-A/C trucks. Let’s ask @FuzzFace2
85lebaront2
Gary, I know on the 73-79 models the AC opening wasn't there. The fresh air inlet had a blank cover over the opening, no ductwork in the dash, just the heat and defrost ducts. Those could be a royal pain to work on as the dash is steel not plastic. Look at the body sheet metal part of the catalog and see if there is a difference in the firewall betwen AC and non-AC. Gary Lewis
@FuzzFace2 converted a non-AC by taking out one half of the firewall and installing one from an AC truck. He has a thread on it somewhere.
85lebaront2
Here are a couple of pictures, hopefully showing what the difference is between a heater only truck and one with factory AC. Heater only 1984 F150 is the first picture, second picture is the bare firewall of the 1990 parts truck, third is the same truck before the 460 and E4OD were pulled out. You can see were the heater casing on the first picture is almost to the firewall recess. the other two show the intake location and the air flow in location (closest to the center opening).
