advmotohead Posted September 21 Share Posted September 21 I acquired my 82 bullnose about 10 years ago for my son and I to work on, let him learn how to work on stuff. He drove it for a few years but it was never right and we only fixed what needed to be fixed. It has now sat for 5 years and I want to make it run right. An 82 with a 351W should have the C6. They didn't put the AOD nor C5 behind the 351's in the pickups, as you can see from the snippets below from our page at Documentation/Driveline/Transmissions/Automatic Transmissions/Applications.
