Like Jonathan said fixed yoke=1345, slip yoke = 1356

Thanks for the radiator info Jim, as well as the advice on the key issue. More to follow in that.

On your 87, does the harness for the headlights come out of that big bulkhead? I've got atleast 2 harness problems to fix. Everything out of that bulkhead is gone, and everything on the passenger wheel well that feeds the cab is gone.

Pretty much everything comes from the big connector.

I have an aftermarket headlamp relay harness, but it is controlled by the passenger side bulb socket.

Cab power should come from the fusible links attached to the fender relay (which I no longer have, either!)

Do you want to post pages from my '87 EVTM?

That's probably the best I can do....

Jim,

If you wouldn't mind, I'm positive that would help. The more I look at the truck, the more I think it may be repairable as is. May still get a new cab and front clip, but with the super clean interiour I'd be tempted to keep it all Bricknose so the dash will work right. Looks like I need to start Junkyard hunting for vehicles to pull a harness and radiator from. I assume that an 87-87 bronco/F150 with carb 351, or an 87 f250/f350 with carb 351 or 460 are all harness donors. DS2 V8s with the Brickhouse bulkhead all fit the bill? The 302 and 300 were efi by then.. as for the radiator, Ill hedge my bets and try to find one from a 250/350 with a V8.

The search will probably continue for clean cabs and good rollers, but Im warming up to the idea of fixing this truck as is.

Pretty much, only trucks above 8,500 gvw had carbs in '87, but you really want that firewall connector and no EFI (because those harness didn't have provision for DS-II)

My book is pretty tattered, as you'd imagine.

Let me know exactly what you want and I will get pics when I'm done and go clean up. :nabble_smiley_cool:

Jim,

That book is a thing of beauty, no matter what anyone else says! Instead if asking for a lot of material preemptively, Ill wait until I have a solid plan. Thank you. -John

Most of the pages are clean. :nabble_smiley_good:

A few have highlighter traces, from when I'd start to get cross-eye'd from staring too long.

I would probably begin with charge & power, start & ignition and exterior lighting.

Those are the three it sounds are going to be most important for you.

But, just let me know.

You can probably find a used copy on eBay or a bookseller like Alibris.

It's a great resource to have!

Mine was under $25 delivered (quite some time ago)

I'm going to try and post some photos from the EVTM.

Hopefully they are helpful.

Hi Guys!

I verified the granny gear on my T19 today. Turns out that paint marker and elbow grease are potent agents for truck diagnostics!

I put the Transmission in 1st and the transfer case in 2 hi, then lifted one rear wheel. I marked the balancer and the transfer case, then counted revolutions of the balancer. The Transmission had to be either 1:4, 1:5.1, or 1:6.3.

After 4 revolutions of the crank, the markings on the transfercase looked like:

After 5 revs of the crank the transfer case markings looked like this :

Id say its pretty safe to say that I have the 5.1:1 granny T19. That suits me fine. Cam selection and rear gears (4.11) should make this truck plenty stout for off road firewood duty. More to follow. Thanks Guys! This community is the best!
