essmaker
Hey everyone. Has anyone found a replacement pre-made fuel line or made your own to go from the pump back to the tank selector? If you've made your own, what did you uee? The original is part metal and part plastic. 1985 F150 351W 4x4
viven44
I have bought 5/16 or 3/8 stainless steel fuel line from summit or Amazon (Depending on the diameter of the line i'm trying to replace) and use hose clamps / rubber hose coupling to connect to fuel pump and and selector... 25 ft -- $25 or so.. usually there is a lot of leftover. LMC sells sections as well but typically a lot more expensive and basically the same. (>$50 for a small section). Depends how OE-looking you want to go. Gary Lewis
I bought Nylon fuel line from Amazon and the Dorman fittings and the tool to install them. Made all new lines.
ArdWrknTrk
Metal bends from beneath the master cylinder to where the rubber leaves the frame to meet the fuel pump? You can get Nylon repair 'pigtails' already made through Dorman. They have either the duckbill type fitting or the 'garter' quick connect. A piece of brake line will work, if you have a way to force the nylon onto it. The engine end is a rubber line and regular hose clamp, correct?
