Vehicle Emission Control Decal

Recommended Posts

I looked at my V-REST and couldn't easily find an engineering number to help your search. (they are tiny)

Maybe Gary has information in 'The Tower'?

Oddly enough I cannot find a calibration code for an '84 F350 w/a 351W 4bbl. But there is one with a 351W 2bbl. The Canadian version w/a manual tranny is Parts List #302 and it has a "D7AZ 12A225-B Restrictor assy, (distributor vacuum) Color code: Blue". That part is used in many, many of the applications, including #399 & 400 which are 351W's with 4bbls. So I think that's the one you need, Jeff.

So Ford was using that d7az12a225-b 20 years later when they put the blue one on my 1987 truck as it rolled down the line...

It looks like NOS Parts has them for $3.89. https://nospartsltd.com/product/d7az12a225b/

Thanks so much!

All the restrictors I was finding on the web had different prefix numbers (yellow or red ones, all …Z-12A225-x parts).

Yes, they are all color coded by how much vacuum they restrict.

My 1981 uses two orange ones, for example.

It is imperative to get the right color coded one, as it can effect drive-ability.

Restrictor arrived today.

For the newbies like me who wonder what it looks like, here it is.

It… restricts.

Not sure if it acts as a tube valve, but there’s a pin in the center…

Awesome that you were able to get the correct restrictor. :nabble_anim_jump:

Looking forward to the driveability report when you get Big Bro tuned up!
