  1. I have everything listed together for $425 CDN (about $330 USD). https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/4838464506223892/ The tailgates seem to be quite sought after. I've had several people ask about it, but I'm trying to sell the whole works together. The fenders seem to be pretty common, at least around where I live. Since they are fiberglass, they didn't rust away with the rest of the trucks. Set of fenders in Indiana... https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2920431518190055/?ref=search&referral_code=undefined And another in Michigan... https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1091975231256255/?ref=search&referral_code=undefined

  3. Are they truck headers though? It doesn't say... I know the 300 is a truck engine, but it was used elsewhere in some racing classes and whatnot wasn't it?
  4. Ya, I remember a fairly common thing to do back in the day was buying a high level trim truck...be it a Ford or whatever, and special ordering it with a rubber floor instead of carpet. Most of the XLT's and Lariats around here didn't have A/C either.
  5. Came across these headers in Canada while searching for other Bullnose junk. I've never seen them before, which doesn't mean anything... https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1543926304 I can't find any info on them from Dr. Google.
  6. This truck just popped up for sale in Canada. Check out the drip rails... https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/st-catharines/1980-ford-f-150-4x4/1544318790?undefined
  7. Bed in Erie, Illinois... https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/801167187398002/?ref=search&referral_code=undefined Wisconsin, but the ad is very old... https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/949419678836795/?ref=search&referral_code=undefined
  8. Thanks Aaron. I've spent a lot of time fixing up this old Flareside. It was pretty rusty when I started. I'm on the east coast in Canada...directly east of Maine. If you look around Facebook Marketplace you will find some 1980-1986 Flareside bed parts. I just bought a set of front and rear sills and a few other pieces (tail light brackets and tailgate hinges) from a guy in Atlanta. He parts these trucks out when he finds them. If you have Facebook, this guy in Texas was selling this Flareside bed a week ago. Might be gone now as it was only $250... https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=3577200945633565&set=pcb.2757849191153532

  10. Oh man, I have been doing the mini Mag-Light in the mouth for years, and as used to it as I am, I still hate it...lol. These gloves look really cool though. I have been waiting to try some different type of lighting for years...and all I could think of was one of those forehead lights like the miners use. So you give them a good rating Scott??
  11. There was a guy in Texas had a whole bed for sale for $250 a week ago. He was on the Facebook Flareside page. I have fenders, steps, and tailgate for sale but I’m Canada a few thousand miles away. They are not worth much in my area unfortunately.
  12. I try to keep an eye on the special ones Gary, just out of curiosity to see what they sell for in the end. The two tone red is really cool...I think Rick's truck is the same colors? I noticed that most Lariats of this vintage are two-tone, but Lucille was always a solid color - Dark Canyon Red. It looks like that one is Dark Canyon Red in the middle and Light Canyon Red on the top and bottom. That is a good visual reference that shows the difference between the two shades of Canyon Red. It’s up to $27,500. This bad boy is going to hit $30k.
  13. Oh, cool. I didn't know that. Excellent. Sounds like I will be cutting a bezel to install a factory clock then. What are the chances this 41 year old clock will still be operational?...lol. By the way, I didn't know until recently that there were a couple versions of the factory clocks. A guy had a couple different ones for sale on Facebook. The earlier ones had different buttons, etc. Anyway, can they be fixed if not working, or are they a replace only item?
  14. Another question...possibly a dumb one, but it just occurred to me. This truck came from the factory with a 302 and a factory tach. It now has a 300 in it...and it appears that whoever swapped in the 300 also used the 300's wiring harness for the DSII and oil pressure, etc. Is the tach going to work properly with the 300? Or will I need to change something?
  15. Awesome! I was more curious about how to attach the clock itself once the holes are cut? I assumed that the factory clock bezels had mounting bosses for screws on the back side?
  16. Has anybody done this before? Or, have you heard of or read that someone did it successfully?
  17. Dave, I guess there's no market for them here. Not many 300's on the road here anymore besides summer cruisers. Might find some EFI 300's at the junkyard, but for $10 I just ordered a new one. I don't need it right away anyway. This picture doesn't really look much different from yesterday, but the core support is secured in place now, and the stone guard is installed. You forget how much time everything takes. I installed a new battery tray today as well as the vertical bracket next to it that attaches to the tray, the fender liner, and the core support. Then I had to tweak everything a little bit to get it lined up. It's actually not too bad...but we will see what happens when I install the hood. Seems I had planned to do a bunch of other things, and getting everything above all lined up and tightened down seemed like forever. Anyway...tomorrow I'm going to seam seal the cowl trough, and install the cowl panel and wipers. After that, wiring and carb install, and maybe even bend up a fuel line and see how that goes. I need to clean up the shop and put everything back in it's place as I will be taking a break until next weekend. Wasn't sure if I told you guys, but I had listed some old 3" spring hangers for sale locally (they came loose with the truck but were for a van E250/E350 and did not fit). Anyway, a guy showed up to buy them as spares for his '89 Bronco. He didn't have a Bullnose, but did have some extra Bullnose parts at home so we worked out a trade, which was even better. I got a set of bumper guards, which I needed anyway (the truck had them from the factory, but the originals were rusted out). My bumper had clear lines where the guards were, so it's nice to have another used set to stick on there (they will match lol).

  19. Dave, I'm leaving the original Bullnose solenoid/relay mounted on the fender, and simply running a trigger wire from it. My main reason for asking about the #10 wire was because I have a big roll of 600v TEW #14 wire on hand. I was just curious if the #10 was overkill or not. I'm going to try the #14 regardless, and check the amps on it out of curiosity. The reason for the 600v is that is our commercial/industrial voltage here in Canada (In these parts). I think the common voltage in the USA is 460v? I know whenever we order equipment from the US, we have to specify 575-600v.
  20. Thanks for the heads up Dave. I checked with the local shop and they told me there wasn’t a single one in the country and that they’d have to order from the US, which for them would take weeks. Rock Auto has at least a half a dozen different brands, and they deliver in about a week so that is what I did. If the factory fitting doesn’t fit I guess I’ll just have to make something up for it.
  21. Thanks Shaun! I’m afraid you would not be impressed if you saw it in the flesh LOL. It is a heap, but if you can see the beauty in a heap then I guess it is OK.
