  1. Frame is about gone on the truck. Pulled the receiver off a little while ago. Going to clean it up and paint it to go on my truck. Saw some of the floor boards while I was under there, not original either. Got a really heavy sign on top of them I need to get out. Doesn't look like any of the body is salvageable. Bed is in rough shape, but I think it's worth saving. If no one shows any interest in it I'll fix it up and look for a truck to put under it. Gonna fire the motor up when I get a chance. Probably be a couple of weeks before things calm down. Haven't spent much time in the cab. Saw the power window and lock switches are still in. Missing the manual switch for the driver door. Seat was about perfect before the critters dug the foam out of the back. Surprised they felt the need to as there was a whole bag of bedding material in the passenger floorboard.
  2. I got this truck a couple days ago I've been watching for a month. Hoping it was in better shape, but it's got too much rot. Most is going to salvage. Still got some decent parts. 4x4 but no trans or transfer case. Has a 300 6 and all the good bits on it still, including A/C. Hasn't been on the road since '03 it looks like. Been kicking around the idea of converting my 82 to 4x4 but I'd need the transfer case and adapter for a small block C6 and haven't come acrossed any yet. Bed is in rough shape, but I think it's worth saving. If anyone is looking for any parts, let me know. I'm in north east Arkansas. Can take more pictures. Snapped these in a hurry before I left work.
  3. I have one kicking around still from my donor truck. It was an '85, 302, aod, 8.8 rear end. I can measure and check on it next chance I get. I don't drop in here much and my email alerts from the forums keep getting buried. If need be, email me directly at cliftonkramer1@gmail.com
  4. Thanks, it took forever to figure out how to get the idea out of my head and on paper. It finally clicked the other night and I spent a few hours roughing that out. It still needs quite a bit of work, but I think it gets the idea across. I actually took a photo of Big Blackie and ran it through several different processes in a few online editors(nothing fancier than ms paint on my computer) until I ended up with something that looked like a line drawing. Then I erased the bits I didn't need. If I have time one of these days I'll touch it up some more, drop the unnecessary details and add in the ones that are missing. It was more fun to make than I thought it would be. Need to incorporate the url better too. Really disappointed in how that looks.
  5. Fenders look pretty good. I could use one or both. Truck had an inline six? The motor perches up for grabs?
  6. That angle makes it look like it's lined up right at the bottom of the curve.
  7. That's good enough for me. Looks like it's not quite centered between the seal and the top of the cab, is that how it looks in person as well?
  8. There's no need to pull it apart. I assume it's centered on the back of the cab. All I would need is a vertical reference. If you could measure from the bottom of the light to the top or bottom edge of the back glass, then from that point on the glass to the floor of the cab on the inside. Or, can't remember right off. If there is a horizontal line on the back of the cab a measurement from it to the bottom of the light would do the trick.
  9. I sure did mess that up and add confusion. I've got cab handles that mount on the b pillar and I have a cargo light to add. Those are the two items I need measurements for.
  10. I'm not sure if we have anything on here detailing the mounting holes for things like hood letters and fender badges, but I think we should have a master list we can contribute to as we come across them. I have a fender without badges that I can measure for the factory mounting holes. Will do that next chance I get. I'm currently in need of a measurement myself, two actually. Is there anyone with a set on of cab handles on their truck who could measure the location so I can add some to my truck? I found a pitiful '80 model with a kia sitting on the bed that had a full outfit of shiny aluminum accessories. Still need to go back and get the front bumper with push bar. I made off with the cab handles and tread plate, also found a gun rack behind the seat. I also pulled a cab light from a similar donor, as well as a third brake light from a newer truck. Haven't decided which I am going to add to Tessa.
  11. If your PCV valve is correct and working properly you should be able to read around 3 psi on the dipstick tube. Also, if you pinch off the vacuum line to the PCV valve your idle should only drop 50-80 rpm.
  12. I was hunting a set for a guy on Facebook, he managed to find some just before I did. These guys still have a set on a truck, but will have to pull the engine to get them, they are open to offers. https://www.ebay.com/usr/1stangs?ul_noapp=true&fbclid=IwAR28snJbxZupTzXQ7JunYxC06BkODejX9Ic2_zNpVi1FAhEvS59QJhhnk30
