  1. I agree, too much money for me. But if it's spent it's life around Medford, there's always the rust free factor! And the Bullnoses seem to be going for more lately around these parts. Or at least they're asking more for them. Has a lot of potential though. Not comparable with Big Blue!
  2. I wonder what the switch hanging down in image 5 does.

  4. Haha! My BIL worked for GM for 35 years or more, my sis also worked at GM, good thing I have the Suburban or they might disown me! My answer to them, "I just like the Ford trucks better".
  5. Known as the "F250", also have the "Bronc" and the "Baburban", that's what my son called the Suburban's when he was little!
  6. Yup. Had those mounts, I put them on my 1994 F250 made by Happijac. Had an extra brace for 4WD trucks.
  7. Back when I was working at a NAPA we would sell these for people off roading. Run the power through the solenoid so the switch doesn't get hot. 4509's are 12 volt aircraft landing lights, I don't know why it says low beam industrial, they're bright. Changed many of them in my career in aircraft maintenance. This is what I think I would do. Not too expensive either. The GE bulbs we used were durable. (On edit: One thing I thought of is you could find more efficient lamps (LED, etc.), that's where the expense comes in. I don't think I would run more than two of the "old" style. You can find them cheaper. http://www.bulbconnection.com/ViewSIMItem/bcrw/simid/1800/item.html https://www.ebay.com/itm/GE-4509-LED-Replacement-Landing-Light-PAR36-14-28-Volt-1yr-warranty-/332069902160) https://www.napaonline.com/p/ECHST402 https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/GRO64930 https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/LMA4509
  8. That's cool, I'd like to have deeper ones in my F250.
  9. I have the center console in my 86, just that the cup holders aren't deep. I like the ones in my Bronco. They have inserts you can remove for bigger cups. I like round lights, but the rectangle lights may tie in better with the square headlights.
  10. The looooong made me think that! I had a hanging cup holder that wouldn't work because it was short. I cut it and pop riveted an extension in. Some aluminum I had laying around. About a 2 inch extension I think. Hangs at the front of the door. Just have to be a little careful going for the light or windshield wiper switch.
  11. Good idea! Thanks, didn't think of trying that. I'm wired in now, but noticed today I need to adjust it, too much choke.
  12. That's what I was told. Also told me to let it cool, and it worked! Other wise I may have panicked! Just kind of unnerving to see it leak like that
  13. Gary my 94 4WD 460 had a drain plug after the dealer upgraded the tranny because the PO had so much trouble with it. (I assume it was a 4R100 pan) Also had a filter in the cooling lines. I still had problems with it. As lebaron said they would get hot, mine did backing in a big travel trailer into a tight spot. It finally started leaking at the front, shut it off and let it cool, and it stopped leaking. I can't believe we got that trailer in where we did. I told the young couple I was helping there was no way we were getting that trailer in there. She says my Grandpa is helping, he used to be a truck driver! I saw no way, he saw plenty of room! He got it in there, I just did what he said!
  14. I wouldn't call that petty. Been through a bit of that myself. Yours sounds worse. It'll be nice when you get it straightened up.
  15. Yeah, weak is a poor choice of a word! I'm sure yours will be great! Can't wait to hear how it goes!
  16. New carb day! Holley Classic 600 CFM, electric choke, vacuum secondaries. Picked the Holley for ease of linkage hookup, and now that I've messed with them a bit, I like them. Installed #64 Primary Jets due to the elevation we live at. Comes with #66 and we are at 4100 foot elevation. Pretty straight forward. Need a good 12 volt source, the OEM choke hook up won't work as many already know. Instructions said I needed to install the transmission kickdown adjuster. Didn't have one as the kickdown linkage is a little different than OEM. I got into my 20 year drawer and put together an adjuster with a 10 32 screw and two nuts. I started my truck and moved it around to the front of my small garage, nothing I own except my riding mower will fit! When I pulled the old carb off there was fuel in the intake, hmmm.... Got the carb set up and installed and hooked up everything. The kickdown adjustment was a wag! New fuel filter. Started relatively easy. Got it warmed up and adjusted the idle mixture screws with my handy dandy vacuum gauge. Decided to bump the timing a little bit, it's at recommended at the time. Now it's snowing... Test drive, big difference, about ten feet shy of a huge difference. Except the kickdown is coming in way early. Back home for an adjustment, next drive better, but still too early. Back home, took the adjusting screw out all together. Next drive, much better, but a little early, but not much I can do about that. All in all, I'm happy and my truck is happy!
  17. What a brute! You wouldn't think they'd be weak!
  18. Not to interfere, but to let you know I bought reusable gaskets for my E4OD and C6. I have not installed them yet, so no review. Have one on the Suburban and I like it. And I believe only the later pans have a drain plug. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mor-93105/applications
  19. If your mod doesn't work out. Hope it does. Here's the valve I have in case hooking it in Max A/C doesn't work like I want. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/vta-11542-vus
