  1. Gary, I would simply write back saying, "Thank you for your time."
  2. My gut feeling is to let this one pass. You already have quite a bit on your plate!
  3. He just responded with: So, help me. What would I reasonably like to know? Here are some thoughts: Why was it taken off CL and the price raised? (Probably not reasonable to expect him to answer?) You said "It runs", but does it run well enough to get on a trailer easily? Why was it parked? Beyond a tuneup, is the engine solid? Does it use oil? You said "Need it gone." But I'm in Oklahoma, so how soon would I need to pick it up? Do you have a clear title? (Probably the most important question.) Start with the listed questions and just go from there. The seller's initial responses will provide more insight and prepare you for further questions.
  4. Hello, Vinny! I would guess soaking first and see what happens. Or, what about heating the carburetor [@175 - 225F?], before soaking, and see if that would soften the old gaskets?

  11. Or, he could wait until September and there would be many hands to assist!
  12. Beautiful! Want to do my truck?
  13. One of the photos shows E1TB 7/25/83 on the back side.
  14. I realized it was before our era, but thought would work if someone wants an original style, meaning with capability of preheated incoming air charge. Thanks for the clarification.
  15. Does E1TB help? Perhaps the NOS ones are for vans?
