  1. I just put the '82 Bronco brochure up on the site. BUT, I need y'all to help me understand what is going on. You will see that there are two pictures of the cover - pages 1 & 2 And on my computers the first one is blotchy, as shown below. But the second page isn't blotchy. And, if I put #2 in place of #1 in the file it comes through crisply - as does the other one. To say it another way, some pages look blotchy if they are made to be Page 1 in the file, but other scans of the same page look great as Page 1. So, is the first page blotchy to you? How does the second page look to you? The first page was scanned in using a commercial scanner at 600 dpi and it looks great when I look at the pdf. (You can download the pdf to see if it changes for you if you want.) But the second page was scanned in using my new Xerox scanner - which is why it doesn't capture all of the page as the page is larger than 8 1/2 x 11. I've seen this before. Meaning that many of my scans heretofore have had a blotchy first page, although the subsequent pages are fine. In fact, if you move Page 1 to be the second page it is fine. But I soon noticed that my new scanner doesn't do that. IOW, all of the pages come out CRISP, regardless of where they are in the order. Again, you can't see the difference when looking at the pdf itself, only when it is embedded on here. Anyone have any observations? Suggestions?
  2. Today's addition was the '82 Bronco brochure: Documentation/Literature/1982 Literature and click on the pic of the brochure. (Or cheat and click on this. )
  3. Good point, David! These won't fit trucks that have only 2 screws top and bottom w/o drilling new holes.
  4. This gonna be a looooong post. Bill - Bingo! The distance from the brace to the block is 1 3/16", which is probably the thickness of that corner of the manifold. Now to hydroboost specifically. I measured three different brake pedals today and will record the measurements here. These measurements are from the center of the pivot tube to the center of the stud to which the booster attaches, and are done to a 1/16" of an inch as I don't think more precision is required for this: Big Blue's F250 pedal" 3 1/2" Some other pedal: 4 1/4" Hydroboost pedal from a '95 Superduty: 2 3/4" And now to a little "detail" I didn't expect - 9C962, which is the ADAPTOR (SPEED CONTROL VACUUM VALVE ACTUATOR). It resides on the brake pedal and hits the speed control vacuum dump valve such that when the brake pedal is up the valve is closed. But any movement of the pedal opens the valve and dumps the vacuum to the speed control to disengage it. Here are what the three different ones I have look like, with the black one in the middle the original one from Big Blue: Peeking out from under the ruler is the tab on each of those that slips over the stud on the pedal, with the adapter sitting astride the pedal and hitting the valve, like this: (Note the Nylon washer is on the wrong side of the tab.) You may have seen this coming, but what happens when you move the stud up the pedal 3/4"? Yep, it misses. Well, perhaps you can move the valve? Like cut the bracket down? Nope, look at the pic above. That valve can't move nearly enough to hit the adapater w/o hitting the pedal bracket first. So I made an "adapter" - that is somewhat overkill: And here's what it looks like installed: Last, the pedals are D.O.N.E! New cruise switch and a working clutch switch installed, as well as a pad "borrowed" from another pedal. The Nylon bushing are in great shape and everything is lubed. All I have to do now is to install it - after adding the firewall brace first.
  5. 80/ F-U100/350 E0TZ 17696-D Kit: R.H. & L.H.-dual position stainless 6" x 9" The "80/" means 1980 to the end of the master parts catalog, which is 1989. So yes, they will fit an '81. And that part number is for a kit, with both left and right mirrors.
  6. You have it nailed. Let us know how it goes.
  7. It is that easy - if the drop links, 5K484, aren't rusted too badly. They like to rust inside the bushings, just above the nut at the bottom that holds them on.
  8. I just realized that the E3TZ 3C511-D also fits an 83 - 86 w/a 460 w/o A/C. That would be a carb'd 460, so maybe the bracket you found will fit? Make sure you can return it if not.
  9. Gotta love that ZF! Both a granny gear and an overdrive.
  10. So the "clip" is the plastic of the connector? I doubt you can buy that by itself, but haven't tried so don't know. Instead, I think you get a pigtail that you'd use to replace yours. I don't know what type of connectors those are. But, here's a link to the Rock Auto site where I drilled down to the fuel injection connectors on a 1986 F150 w/a 5.0L. I think this may be what you need, and you may find other sources of those part numbers to be less expensive. Or not.
  11. Ahhh! You are going with a vee belt rather than poly groove. Then this is the drawing for you. The part # and applications are:
  12. Saw this on FB this morning and thought y'all might enjoy it. This was included as an explanation:
  13. I'm glad you are finding what you need in the way of documentation. But I'm afraid I don't know much about the IDI's so can't say about the connectors or manual switches. However there are others on here that know the IDI's literally inside and out, so I'm sure they'll be along soon. Hope the windshield lets you see the VIN. And that was a good score on the sliding rear window.
  14. I don't see the clips in the MPC's illustration, below. But I did a Google search and found a few pigtails. However I'm not sure any of these fit your truck as I don't remember what the connectors look like. Sorry.
  15. Today I added the 1984 EEC-III Tester Manual. It is in Documentation/Electrical/ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROL (EEC) and then the EEC-III tab. However, as it turns out it is Section 28 of what must have been a rather large manual as this one is 156 pages long in and of itself. However, this section is for the 5.0L CFI engines, meaning those with central fuel injection, which doesn't include our trucks. I didn't realize that until I almost had it on the site, so I'll leave it there 'cause it might help someone. And, I'll tell the folks on the Ford 302, 351w & 460 parts Facebook page as they may have use for it. But, it might have some useful information for our users as well.
  16. Thanks, Bill. I did that thinking as you that it might go to an exhaust manifold bolt, but it didn't in that try. Maybe I'll give it another go tomorrow. But that aluminum bracket is SOLID. I'm not sure it really needs a brace. However, if I can get it to go somewhere I'll use it.
  17. Dee - If you can do body work like that you can figure out the pics. Well done!
  18. Your camera? Seriously though, the jacks/stands look good. May have to have a pair of those some day.

  21. Scott - Did you have a bad customer-service experience as well? Not sure I understand.
