REX_308
This is my 1984 F-250 XL 6.9 IDI paired with a T19 and a Dana 70. Came factory with A/C and cruise control. She's 2x4 at the moment, and supposedly has 110,000 miles. Everything is stock and in decent condition. I plan to do some cool things with this truck and its always a good thing to have access to people with more knowledge of these trucks than I have. Gary Lewis
Welcome, Braden! Glad you joined. So, what "cool things" do you have in mind? And, where's home? I ask because we have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and we can add you with a city/state or zip.

As of right now my "cool plans" consist of some body work, a performance build with the IDI, a flatbed, and as odd as it might sound, a long travel suspension kit. As for where I'm at, I live in Leeds UT.

I went from the D44 HD TTB's with leaf springs in front to a D60 solid axle and SuperDuty springs with a reverse shackle kit and got 4 times more travel and a much better ride. Gary Lewis
Awesome, thankyou. Also, your setup sounds pretty sweet. I’m not a fan of the TTB/leaf spring combo. Rough ride and little articulation. The later solid axle/leaf spring combo is better, but combining that with longer SD springs and placing the shackle in the rear is even better. But today there are people going with the even later solid axles and coil springs. If I had to do it again I’d consider that.

Yeah, I've been trying to decide just how much money I want to put into the suspension. But I will do the 05+ axles at the very least.
