Powerman5K
The passenger side backup light has never worked on Shep. I finally dove into it today to try to diagnose it. Using a multimeter, I found there was barely 1 volt coming through the socket. I clipped the leads and test the voltage straight from the wires and found the voltage in the normal range of about 10 volts. I can't seem to find a new socket anywhere (Other than ebay for $30). Anyone have any leads for a reverse light socket? Or am I tearing apart my current socket to find the problem? FYI, no visual problems/damage or corrosion to the socket. AmericanSavage
Maybe this? https://forum.garysgaragemahal.com/file/n126372/Capture_d%E2%80%99%C3%A9cran%2C_le_2022-10-25_%C3%A0_08.jpg https://shop.broncograveyard.com/Rear-Backup-Light-Socket-80-87/productinfo/38107/ You can find knock offs to finagle something, BUT this is what I would get to ensure it actually fits in the tail-light assembly, and the price is reasonable. BGY is a great site, and they are a pleasure to deal with.
