Hey guys, new to the forum2A6F571C-5D02-44ED-8142-E315032424BF.thumb.jpeg.ba992aba352b10fa035483d51abcb042.jpeg. This will be my second bullnose that I have restored. First was an ‘80 F250 ranger but was in good shape to start with. The new bullnose is a ‘85 F250 XL Supercab. She has the 460 and C6. I have already found a lot of good info in terms of the electrical system as the truck was filled with rats nests every few inches. So far working to get her back to OE. Removed the led head and tail lights and back to original, removed the chrome 20” wheels and have the steelies back on. Look forward to learning from the group!

Welcome! Glad you joined. :nabble_anim_handshake:

Nice looking truck. I've added the pic here so people don't have to follow the link. Looks a whole lot like Big Blue. :nabble_smiley_good:

Where's home? I ask because we have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and can add you with a city/state or zip.

Thanks! I’ll figure out the pictures😉 I’m in jasper, IN 47542

Test to see if I figured out pictures. This is the 80 I restored about 8 yrs ago. Kick myself for selling but always wanted a supercab and year I was born.

Welcome aboard. I had to go check the map...I visited Marengo Cave back in about 2005/6. I had some time to kill on my way north out of Louisville while on a work trip.

Marengo Cave is a nice spot to spend a day. Glad you were able to see it! I work for Jasper Engines and we have a a plant located very close to Marengo so got to frequent it often with the kids when I was working out of that location.

Thanks for the welcome. I am getting the truck out and doing truck stuff...

Currently on my list:

- still trying to figure out why I don't have tail lights. Slowly going through all the wiring in the truck and removing what is not in use and fixing all the grounds along the way.

- Heater core was bypassed sometime back so working on getting working heat back in the truck.

- Truck had dealer installed A/C so looking at what it will take to get it back in operation.

- Check out the sending units in the tanks, they tend to pick up occasionally

- Paint correction is scheduled for a week out.

- Install winch and fab up bumper

- Leveling kit

- 35's

Things I checked off the list:

- I now have brake lights and turn signals

- removed the LED taillights and headlights and back to the OE style

- Full tune up on the engine, replaced plugs, distributor, ignition, etc.

- Replaced the broken windshield and vent glass

- Installed my tool box that I had on my truck in high school, that was a good feeling :nabble_smiley_good: brought back a lot of memories.

- Removed the nasty 20" chrome wheels and installed some OE steel wheels with 33's

The forum has been a great resource for so much already. Thanks for giving these amazing trucks a place to live on!

Your truck looks a whole lot like Big Blue. :nabble_smiley_good:

I think it looks great with the 33's, but 35's will change the overall gearing and bring the revs down a bit.

Anyway, hope you'll start a thread in the main section or in Projects to let us come along on the journey of making your truck "yours".
