1998? Flareside 4x4

Recommended Posts

That would be a 1992-1996, but I can't narrow it down any more than that;).

They're the trucks that most people associate with the term Flareside since they actually had the name Flareside right on the fender;).

Probably not a '96 as I think those 351's were EEC-V and, therefore, would have had a MAF sensor at the air cleaner box.

Not sure why he told us his grandfather was immaculate. :nabble_anim_confused:

I haven't seen any f250 flaresides or f250 with five lugs either

Well it has an airbag, so that makes it a 1994-1996. But I believe Ford dropped the Flareside for 1996, so that would make it a 1994-1995. :nabble_smiley_good:

Good eye Shaun! Interestingly the 94 F250 I used to own had the non air bag steering wheel. Must have been built earlier.

The F250 and F350 didn't gain an airbag until the F250 LD did in 1997 (new body) and the HD and F350 trucks picked them up right after that. The 3/4 and 1 ton trucks temporarily evaded the regulation that required the half ton trucks to have airbags in the early 90s.

Oh, interesting. I miss that 94 sometimes.
