Angelo Voltura
Looking to regear my 90 as my 302 doesn't have enough guts for me to be happy. Long shot, but does anyone have a 4.09 ratio 1/2 ton center section laying around? Literally everything I find is 3.08 or 3.54.
Rusty_S85
I dont, but have you tried looking at Currie`s loaded 9" third members? You can pick your flavor on type of differential and gear ratio. I think they go up to around 4.10/4.11, Thats the route im going for my gear change from 2.75:1 to either 3.00:1 or 3.25:1 and its already built ready to go just pull old chunk out throw new one in and your done. Not sure how much local guys would charge to set the axle up if you are doing a gear change itself but around here it would cost me close to $1,200 more than Currie`s $1,800. I forgot to mention it's a 4x4. I need the third member for the front end.

Ah yeah, that would be a bit harder, I looked into it when doing the 4x4 conversion on my flare side since I could buy the twin beam 4x4 setup in pieces but then I found out I couldnt find any options for a detroit true trac in 3.00:1 or 3.25:1 to match what I plan for the rear axle. Plus the cost was so much that helped me to walk away from it. There literally isnt much out there in the aftermarket for front diffs if you want to get away from stock from what I found. Honestly I could benefit from just swapping in a 351 which I think is eventually going to happen anyway, but I could really take advantage of the power my 302 has with a gear change. Honestly I don't need the ABS, so if I found another 9 inch I'd go through the effort of swapping if I knew I had my hands on a carrier for the front. I'm pretty sure the ones from a 250 in a 44HD are the same...it's the 50 that was different.
