Is there a sheet with the DSO info somewhere?

I solved the vin.

Its the DOS ##'s.

F0092

T0844

521717

DSO

I wrote this just the way it appears on the sticker.

I believe 52 is Dallas, 1717 ? could this be a Dealer #.

What about the F & T ##.

Thanks for any help.

Well, at least you've found the New Members Start Here folder, so had a chance to read the guidelines. Hope you did.

But intro's usually include a bit about yourself, wherein I ask where you live since we have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and can add you with a city/state or zip.

As for DSO, that's in Documentation/Specifications/DSO Codes.

Hello all.

I live in Wylie, TX 75098

moved here about 83, married and kids are all grown up.

my son bought the truck in 99.

it was in sad shape then and worse now.

I've added you to the map.

And I've processed your pic a bit to make it a bit larger and maybe sharper.

The 521717 would say it was special order # 1717 from the Dallas Office. But I don't know what that means. Or meant.

As for FOO or F0092, I don't know. I cannot find either of those in the Master Parts Catalog. And TO or T0844 is the same.

Sorry, I don't have any more info.

The 5-6 digit DSO number usually indicates a custom color paint. On every one of the certification labels that I have seen with these special order codes, you will usually notice that the area for the factory paint code is left blank. Unless there's something else special about the truck...it's usually a special order paint color.

The F0092 and the T0844 are the reserve capacities in pounds. F is for the front axle, so 92 lbs for the front, and T is for total, so 844 pounds total reserve capacity.

Thanks, Cory! I'm glad you explained that.

I had what I thought was a brilliant idea about the paint - maybe the 1717 is for upper and lower. But there's no "17" that I can see in the paint chart. :nabble_smiley_sad:

It would be interesting to order a Marti Report for one of these trucks with the special order DSO codes, and see if there’s any info in there on the paint code/order.

I can’t see on the Cert Label, but is the factory paint code area blank?

I want to thank you guys for racking your brains on this.

The vin calls out a 300 6 cyl., when we got it in 99, it had a V8.

6 months later it blew, so we dropped a 302 in it.

So, OEM is a 300, manual 4 speed granny, 4x4, 9" 3.50 rear-end.

We usually don't use first gear.

Q. Do all 80's 4x4 f150s have quad Shocks in front??

Q. Do you add the F0092 & T00844 to the front and rear GAWR to get a total??

I also noticed A/C was added buy ford, just don't know when or where.

The unit under the radio is heat only, A/C add on is under the vent

by the driver.
