Original Post

I have a lot of time at work for listening to music or podcasts, and I figured instead of listening to the same kind of stuff over and over again, I could get some useful knowledge for restoring my Bronco. Do any of you guys have some recommendations of an auto repair or restoration youtube channel or podcast that I can listen to without having to be totally engaged?

I'm starting with the Wrench Nation podcast but it seems to be very scattered in terms topics.

Lately I've been watching a lot of vice grip garage. But more for the "parked for ___ years, will it run and get me 600 miles home?" videos. Funny thing is I actually know of a truck that would fit that... but I'm not sure I have the guts to try that (675 miles, sat for 10-11 years, 1979 F350 with a 460). Perhaps it's a negative influence?

That is way beyond anything I'd try with my current amount of skill. I need to get into more of those types of videos. I've enjoyed some of the videos from Jennings Motor Sports, namely this one.

On YT, I watch VGG; Junkyard Digs (they like Ford trucks); Junkyard Mook - Digs' girlfriend but she can be especially annoying at times; Thunderhead 289 (ford guy mostly - helps Junkyard Digs a lot in older episodes); Uncle Tony's Garage (mostly Mopar, but some good information in there - he is a pretty smart dude with some history in automotive journalism); Daniel McGee (owns Bullnoses); Minute Masters (aeronose truck projects); BullnoseGarage (nothing new, but mostly bullnose content); and Dylan McCool.

I like Dale Jrs Youtube videos of his podcasts, but for some reason, I can't listen to podcasts without losing interest or losing the point. I need to read information or have moving pictures.

Haven't run across a bullnose Bronco channel yet.

For general knowledge and honest character i like south main auto. Not a ford guy but he teaches working tips and good diagnostic methods.

Ones I watch

Uncle Tony`s Garage

Muscle Car Solutions

Chris Fix

Petes Garage

Eric The Car Guy

Mikes Carburetors

Autorestomod Manic Mechanic Gasoline Media

Ones I avoid cause they are idiots.

Scotty Kilmer

Thunderhead289

Auto Auction Refill

Luke on Thrunderhead289 can take a LONG time to get to any kind of a point. But he has some smarts on occasion. Smarter than me. Stuff I watch is mostly for the entertainment value and not for educational purposes. Mike's Carbs is good for learning about the carbs.

Scotty Klimer can annoy the stink off *well you know*.

I'm a big Podcast guy, in fact it's about all I have listened to for the last 5-6 years. I very rarely listen to the radio anymore. Anyway, the bad news is that I haven't found much in the way of car/truck stuff to listen to.

Steve Mags Muscle Car Show is good to have on in the background, if you enjoy his stuff (ever watch Junkyard Gold?). he's a facts and numbers guy, so it can be pretty interesting. Sound was not great earlier on, but he was doing them at home with basic stuff I think.

I listen to Binder Boneyard once in a while too. It's all about old International pickups, Scouts, Travelalls, etc. However, he does general tech stuff too. Not bad sometimes:

There are others, but I haven't really found many that I could stick with. I listen to a lot of regular podcasts, but not much automotive stuff.

I don't follow very many Youtube channels, but I'm kinda fond of the Budget Buildz guy in SC (I think that's where he is).

Couple of my faves here. I can watch these over anytime.
