Steve83
I’ve heard nothing but good things about the Borgeson shafts. Pricey little boogers though! Same with me Jon, all I've read are great reviews. I plan to order one before spring to go with my new RedHead steering box, but I'm not sure which one to order. They have two versions for our trucks...one with a damper, and one without. From what I've read, it seems like most guys buy the ones without the damper...just a straight shaft. I've read where guys have said you can't go without a rag joint (or else suffer vibrations), but guys have gone without and said they were fine. Any thoughts good or bad? It's much cheaper, quicker, & probably just as good to replace the intermediate shaft with an '87-91 part.

Ford F834
It's much cheaper, quicker, & probably just as good to replace the intermediate shaft with an '87-91 part. What is the 87-91 difference?
Steve83
What is the 87-91 difference? Molded vulcanized rag joint. https://supermotors.net/getfile/558353/thumbnail/ragjoint87.jpg ...and I think an upper U-joint instead of the encased swivel shown in the first post. Interesting. I know there's a '91 F350 at the Pick and Pull that is all complete under the hood...but I'll wait for it to warm up a little before going back out;) Was down to about 15F on the weekend.
