Hound Dog Lew
The upper joint in my intermediate steering shaft has play in it. I can check my local junkyards or is it best to replace it with a new Borgeson shaft? Thanks
Gary Lewis
Lew - I put up the part numbers so you could figure out which trucks would have the right part for you. http://www.garysgaragemahal.com/coupling---rag-joint.html But, I'd go with a new one. Borgeson or something else new.

Awesome. i have loose steering as well, and was looking into this. Glad to hear it made a noticeable difference. Ford F834
I’ve heard nothing but good things about the Borgeson shafts. Pricey little boogers though!
Rembrant
I’ve heard nothing but good things about the Borgeson shafts. Pricey little boogers though! Same with me Jon, all I've read are great reviews. I plan to order one before spring to go with my new RedHead steering box, but I'm not sure which one to order. They have two versions for our trucks...one with a damper, and one without. From what I've read, it seems like most guys buy the ones without the damper...just a straight shaft. I've read where guys have said you can't go without a rag joint (or else suffer vibrations), but guys have gone without and said they were fine. Any thoughts good or bad?
