Recommendations On Tire Steps?

Recommended Posts

Thanks. That Topside Creeper looks good. Wish I'd have had that installing the many bits on the engine, particularly the oil pressure switch on the back of the engine and the fuel pressure regulators.

However, I do have a flat front bumper - the Warn winch one - and I can stand on it. But the chrome there is getting very thin so I use towels on it when I do. And the winch itself is right in the middle so is in the way. However, when doing the EFI system I could easily pull the winch and have a decent place to stand.

I'll consider the Topside Creeper. But for taking with me on trips the wheel step fits the bill.

That topside creeper is cool!

I know you’re looking for a tire step, and I’m sure you’ve seen these. I have several, and carry one in the Bronco and one in the truck.

I use these a lot. Even used two the other day, one to put tools on.

Gary,

I bought this one on Amazon a year ago and it works great on my really wide tires. Very sturdy. Unfortunately this one is marked unavailable, but I'm guessing there are identical versions sold under other brand names.

Dane - I have one of those steps and use it a LOT. But, when leaning over into the engine compartment it has a habit of slipping out from under me. I've actually ratchet-strapped it to the wheel before, but thought the wheel step would be an easier combo.

Chad - Yes, I've found that one, or one just like it at several places. Looks good. Thanks.
