Flareside Jeff
Hey there everyone, I have been trying to locate one or more of the behind the seat storage caddies that Ford offered as a accessory that you could buy for your new Ford truck in the 80's. The fit behind the seat of a regular cab pickup, and these organizers allowed you to store stuff neatly behind the seat. If anyone has one or more that they would like to sell, call or text me, my number is 705-457-0180, and I'm Jeff. I'll try to post a picture of one so you can see what they look like. Thanks everyone!
Gary Lewis
Jeff - Two things. First, you missed the directions to go to the New Members Start Here folder and introduce yourself. We are a community and want to get to know each other. So we would appreciate you doing that. Second, we have one member that had one of those organizers made. I drew up the one I have and John/Machspeed had one made to that drawing. I'll ask him to come comment on that.

Machspeed
As Gary commented, I had a very good friend, using the dimension's that Gary gave me, design one in CAD and laser cut it out of 1/16" steel. I welded it together and painted it. I had thought to offer the materials for sale at one time but cost to ship would be up there and then there is the cost of steel, which continues to rise. My unit would not be cheap but if you know people, this could be done for you! Here's some photo's.

But if you were doing it over again would you use lighter metal?
Machspeed
Thanks, John. Your organizer does look good. But if you were doing it over again would you use lighter metal? Good question Gary but no. I discussed this with the gentleman who designed it and he felt the thickness was appropriate for the design. He is an engineer and I have been amazed at what draws up and creates. After seeing so many of his projects, I seldom question anything he says outside of learning.
